What an idiot.. I thought this day was a Friday, since I went home, but it was actually a Thursday, the day before Good Friday, which is why I went home..

(But then again, since losing my license, I have sort of lost the plot in general).

I got up at 7.40am, and started getting ready.

I'd brought my Bundy hawaiian shirt up with me, but after been shoved in my bag all wekk, it looked like a total mess, so I had to iron it.

Once I'd done that, I went and had a shower, and got dressed, and had some toast for breakfast, and then went to work.

I got to work, did a little bit of coding, and then had to go and ask the project manager some stuff about the way map naming works, and we ended up having a meeting about what we want to do with a few fields in the database.

Basically, it ends up with me having a stack load more work to do, building lookup tables, and logic to autopopulate fields on insert, perhaps I'll write some oracle functions to do it for me.

I was given a map showing the naming convention of maps in New South Wales, and how it's divided up, along the longitude and lattitude lines, that was pretty interesting.

There was a morning tea on this morning, they usually have on on Thursdays, so I went out there, and had something to eat, and stood around for a bit.

It's Easter this weekend, so we get a short week this week, with Easter Friday being tomorrow etc. They had Easter buns and Easter eggs on at the morning tea.

Someone mentioned about the double demerits over the weekend, and how you can check your license status online, and he'd found that he had no points left.

I don't know how that didn't mean he was suspended like me, since I got done with a 4 point offence, on a 4 point license, and I got suspended.

While I was out here, I ended up having a discussion with a few people about the way QLD do the system I'm replacing for NSW, and there was some talk of replacing the backend stuff of the system up there, that'd be pretty good.

I went back to work, for another hour and a bit, and then I went upstairs to find out about going to lunch.

The guy wasn't there, I spoke to the guy who looks after the email servers, and he told me that the other guy had said he wasn't going to have lunch, so he could leave earlier today, and had just ducked out somewhere.

I sat with him, since he asked me about a problem someone had reported, with visiting SSL sites through the proxy, and getting blocked.

We mucked around with that for ages, I couldn't find anything obvious as to the problem, the guy wasn't blocked, and when we went through his access report, there was nothing in there.

The other guy came back, and said he'd just wandered off to get a new wallet, because he'd lost his wallet last night.

This reminded of the fact that I hadn't given him the money for the room rent this week, which I withdrew, and then forgot about on Monday or Tuesday or whenever it was, so I gave it to him now, that was lucky, since he would have lost it, and he had no money or cards now.

He told me again that he wasn't going for lunch, and wanted to leave at 2pm or something, it was now about 1pm, I did want some lunch.

I went and got all the stuff from my desk that I needed, and took it up to his desk, and asked him to just chuck it in the car if he left before I got back from lunch.

He told me that there was an awful hawaiian shirt in Lowes, I'd probably love it.

Another couple of guys from work said they were going to the pub, so the three of us walked down the road to the pub.

I was starving, so I said I was going to get some food, some pies, and asked if they wanted anything, but they didn't.

They went into the pub, and I walked down to the bakery, on the way stopping to look at the hawaiian shirt, but it was like XXXL, so I just kept going.

I bought some pies, and then walked back and into the pub, and up to the bar to get a drink.

I'm standing at the bar, looking at the stuff in the fridges, trying to work out what I want, and I start going "I'll have an uhhh..", and the chick behind the bar goes "Bundy? and coke?".

Heh, I wonder what made her guess that, I wonder if it was the Bundy hawaiian shirt I was wearing.

I didn't really want coke, so I got a Bundy Dry & Lime instead, and then paid, and took it and my pies into the pokies room where the other couple of guys from work were sitting.

I ate my pies, and drank my drink, and we chatted. I kept expecting the other guy from work to call me, telling me he was leaving, but he didn't.

At about 2.30pm, I decided to leave the pub, and went back to work, I don't remember if the others came back, or stayed in the pub.

I grabbed my stuff I'd brought up, and then went with the guy down to his car, and we left.

We headed the back way to the freeway, through Kurri Kurri, which is a bit quicker than going through East Maitland.

We got on the freeway, and headed south, listening to The Smiths.

We got near the Ourimbah exit, probably about 5km before it, and the cops had pulled over a huge truck, and they were trying to climb all over the truck. God knows what's going on there.

We got off the freeway, and I got dropped at home.

I dumped my bag, and all my stuff, and then I got my helmet, and I jumped on my bike. (Who cares about the fact my license is suspended? not me).

I rode straight over to my mate's place, to see if he was there, and if he was, how he was going in the days after having his wife leave him.

I got around there, and found it very quiet. There weren't any cars there, and I don't think my mate's bike was there either.

I went around to my other mates' place, the guy who works for abc, and the guy who's dad owns the aircon business, to see if perhaps he was around there (because he'd been there when he called me on Tuesday about it).

Nope, there was no one here either. I went around the corner to the supermarket, the one I used to go to on my way home each day, and I bought some food, since I had absolutely nothing to eat at home, and then I went home again.

I'd just got in the door, and my phone rang. It was my mate who's dad owns the aircon business, he was telling me that his ex gf's brother (who lives at the address on my license and rego) had told him that some registered mail had arrived for me, in Brisbane.

Terrific. What the hell am I supposed to do about that? they can't collect it, and I'm 1000km away. Hmm, you get a slip in the mail to let you know there's something to collect at the post office, which I think I can sign to send someone on my behalf to collect the mail.

I said that perhaps they could send the slip down to me, and I'd sign it, and send it back, and then someone could go and collect the item (whatever it is, but I suspect my court summons), and send it down to me.

My mate told me that apprently his ex gf's brother was coming down to visit her, so then I got to thinking he could bring the slip down, and I'd sign it and then get someone to collect the mail when he went back up.

I tried calling the guy, to ask if he could bring the slip down, so I could sign it, but he didn't answer his phone, so I just left a message with the story, and asked him to call me back.

Once all that was sorted out (or so I thought), I went back to making myself a drink, which I'd been trying to do before the phone rang.

I made my drink, and sat down to relax.

A little while later, my parents came in, with some groceries they'd bought for me. They must have been in here during the week, and seen that there was no food.

They put the food in the fridge and cupboards, and we chatted for a while.

They told me some parcels had arrived, and had to be collected from the post office, that must be my drink dispenser (holds 6 alcohol bottles), and the digital STB I ordered early in the week.

I went down, and grabbed the boxes out of the car, yep, it was the parcels I'd expected.

I opened up the digital STB first, and mucked around with that for a while, and set it all up.

I got a bit bored with that, so I opened the other parcel, the drink dispenser, and assembled it, and then loaded all my grog bottles into it, and made myself a long island iced tea with it.

I drank it, while listening to some music, and then mucked around with the digitial box a bit more.

I finished my drink, and made another, and then I felt a bit crook, maybe the convenience of the long island dispenser is a bit too convenient.

I made some dinner, and ate it, and sat around for a while, but I was feeling a bit pissed, so I went to bed.
