OK, the driver finished downloading, I ran the setup, seemed to work.

No "PCI Multimedia Device" in Unknown Devices anymore.

Try playing again.. hooray. Didn't even need a reboot.

I suppose I should put the side back on the computer now. I could leave it off with the excuse that I'm going to vacuum in there (where did all that fluff and dust come from??) but I won't get around to it.
