I was woken up at 4.35am this morning, by my phone ringing for the third time. I didn't realise it was the third time, it was only after I answered it, a call back from my voicemail, with a message that sounded like someone had sat on their phone and called me, and deleted that message, that I noticed I had 2 missed calls previously, my voicemail had tried to call me 5 minutes before, and my precision driving mate had tried to call a couple of minutes before that, so he'd sat on his phone.

I went back to sleep, slept through until 12:30pm.

Got up, had a pretty lazy day, read some forums on the internet, watched my Pink Floyd DVD I bought several weeks ago, just basically bummed around.

Around 9.30pm I decided I was hungry, so I put some fish and chips in the oven, while I waited for that I boiled the kettle so I could do the washing up (I'll have to get this hot water fixed I think), put out the rubbish.

Had dinner about 10pm, watched some more TV, and read some more forums.

I've just spent a fair bit of time mucking around with some card sharing software. Seems to work over my LAN, "can I get it to work over the Internet?" I thought. This was a real kerfuffle, I've only got access to 2 windows PCs over the Internet, one of them is off, and the other one I can't remember the login for. Eventually managed to remember the login, then getting the files I needed was another greatly more difficult task than it needed to be. Broken ftp servers everywhere, missing OCX files. Argh.

But in the end, I got the files, got the software running, and after not being able to get the stupid firewall to port forward the traffic, put my card programmer on the firewall machine, and saw everything working.

I think I'll get the bits and pieces to make a couple of season interfaces tomorrow.

I'm off to bed to watch some more telly.
