Managed to get up a bit earlier this morning, just after 8am.
I realised my tivo had run out of guide data (don't know when, Monday perhaps), so I started downloading the new slices.
Got ready, and left.
I went past the Sara Lee factory, and it smelled terrific, like they were making all the cakes.
Got a bit further up the road, and there was a bit of a hold up with a truck loaded up with something, waiting to get onto the highway.
It eventually got on, and then all the cars stuck behind it got on, and then I got on.
We went a bit up the road, and then I saw something bouncing along the other side of the road, I thought it was a fast food cup or something, then noticed it was a big rectangle, oh, it's a big chunk of polystyrene.
Thene everything started to go slow, and I noticed bits of polystyrene all over the road.
The truck that held everything up had pulled over, and I now realised it was loaded up with polystyrene, and a couple of big bits had fallen off.
I got past that, got on the freeway, and headed for work.
I got to a spot, just before the Newcastle exit, where it stack horribly like dog shit, and it went on for about 2 kilometres.
Between the Newcastle exit and the end of the freeway, there was a speed trap, I thought the got had got me, he was standing out of the car, with the radar, and I was going at least 130 when I saw him, but he just ignored me, so I kept going.
I got to the end of the freeway, and started heading up the highway to work, a cop had just pulled over a truck, and the trucky getting out didn't look too happy.
A lit bit further down the road, there was a bike going the other way, so I signaled to him that there were cops.
The rest of the trip was uneventful.
One of the guys is leaving today, so we've just gone through the menus for the restaurant nearby, where we're going for lunch today.
Oh crap, I just realised that I downloaded the guide data slices for the tivo, but I didn't kick off the script to load them.
I tried running the script from the web interface I've got on the tivo, from work, but the script I wrote to load the data is really dodgy, and I relied on using the path variable for it find stuff, so it just fails, since it's not running in a proper environment. Bugger, unless I can get an ssh connection out somewhere, I'm stuffed.
