Apolgies for the fact that this is only a partial transcript, I wasn't expecting the chat to start as early as it did, so I missed most of it (I could have been there earlier, but I was actually coding together today's "Dish" about Melissa). Anyway, here's what I've got, all the non-moderated text has not been transcribed, (most of it was garbage IMHO). I assume the first answer Melissa gave while I was there was to do with her involvement with anybody.

It appears that the Yahoo chat that took place was possibly, and most probably a fraud.

I was contacted personally about this chat, and the person presented some pretty hard evidence that points to this being a fraud. A couple of the points they made were:

Of all the questions that were asked yesterday, only one was answered that was presented by someone who did attend the chat (Karen Wilson's) all the other questions were from people who had never entered the room.

Of the questions and answers that were presented, all of them had been asked before, whether in the recent chats on AOL or MSN etc, and they were common questions that most people already knew the answer to (like "where were you born?" was one that was asked, and I thought to myself "I could answer that"). I don't want to disappoint Karen, but I think the answer she received to her question (hey, she was lucky to even have her question displayed) could easily have been made up by anyone.

Some people were actually suspecting something funny was going on during the chat, and saying things like "Is she actually here?" and "Why isn't anyone in this room getting answered?". Questions similar to this were asked for about 10 minutes (and some while I was in attendance).
All of these questions prompted no response from Melissa or the moderator to reassure us that Melissa was actually in attendance, and that this chat actually was live and genuine.

Other points made by someone else were things like:

They could have got away with not having Melissa herself in attendance, but instead having someone who knows Melissa very well.

While I was not in attendance, Melissa was supposedly listing artists she likes, and a major spelling error came through ("Airta" was written instead of "Erte"). If you liked an artist etc, I'm sure you would know how to spell their name. This proves that at the least Melissa wasn't doing the typing (which is fair enough, I can understand that), but it also posibly means that Melissa wasn't there at all.

The reason I have just stated all this is just because myself and at least 20 other fans who attended the chat were very disappointed with the goings on. It is suspected that the "chat" was a preprepared script, slowly written out during the length of the "chat", of which we were lead to believe we were involved with. For what reason they would want to do this we can only speculate.. although in order for me to join this chat I had to register with Yahoo, which undoubtedly means my mailbox will soon be recieving yet more SPAM.

I don't think it was an acceptable event, and I would like to hear from somebody with some authority in this matter if they would like to attempt to prove otherwise.

Now read the preprepared script following. I would have liked to transcribe all the chatting going on in the channel, but the really userfriendly java chat client that Yahoo uses doesn't allow you to select and copy text from it, so all the text below has been retyped by me.

Unfortunately the full transcripts which become available on Yahoo's site do not include the general chatting that was going on while the celebrity was there, their transcripts only include the moderated questions and answers as done mine below. This results in you not being able to see the questioning of the authenticity of the chat that was going on.

melissa_joan_hart: I will be, my sister and some girlfriends, are going to be in South Beach partying
melissa_joan_hart: I was going to go to Rio but thought it might be too far and scary.
melissa_joan_hart: I figured I might as well stay in the country, if I have to drive back, I can drive back!

Agent_Dana_Scully_F_B_I: do you see any of yourself in the character you play in drive me crazy?
melissa_joan_hart: Yes, more so than any other character I've played.
melissa_joan_hart: Sabrina is very wishywashy and insecure, and I'm not either of those things I don't think. In the movie, my character isn't completely confident, but she's not a wimp, she's interesting and smart. She's in moderation basically.

tigerhawk_83: Do you believe in weird stuff like UFO's or Aliens?
melissa_joan_hart: I don't know, I'll let you know if they ever show up.

melissa_joan_hart: Yes, absolutely. In movies. In real life, that's another I'll have to let you know someday.

SlayerRob: Do you plan to expand your horizons in the future? Maybe play a psycho killer, or try a character that's perhaps very challenging, like one with a deficiency, in your acting future?
melissa_joan_hart: Pyscho killer osn't on my list of things to do.
melissa_joan_hart: But the deficiency thing, I have gone after parts. I hope next summer to be playing a pregnant teen in a convent set in the 40's, a feature.

melissa_joan_hart: I don't know, that's a really difficult question. I think a little of both.
